최용진 박사후연구원(지도교수: 유승화)이 미국 University of Massachusetts Amherst 토목환경공학과(Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering)에서 조교수로 2026년 9월 1일부로 임용될 예정입니다. 

최용진 박사는 지반공학 해석을 더욱 신뢰성 있고 효율적이며 자율적으로 수행하기 위한 인공지능과 scientific computing 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 물리 인지형 AI 시뮬레이터, 역해석(inverse modeling), 불확실성 정량화(uncertainty quantification), agentic AI를 유기적으로 결합하여, 지능형 지반재해 예측·저감 기술 및 의사결정 시스템을 구축하는 데 주력하고 있습니다.

Yongjin Choi, Ph.D. (advisor: Seunghwa Yoo), will be joining the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as an Assistant Professor, from September 1, 2026.

His research aims to make geotechnical analysis more reliable, efficient, and autonomous through artificial intelligence and scientific computing. He focuses on physics-aware AI simulators, inverse modeling, uncertainty quantification, and agentic AI systems for intelligent geohazard prediction, mitigation, and engineering decision making.
